My buddy ( Huge Gibson fan) has Gibson Explorer ( '04) and he ordered a TonePros bridge with Graph Tech saddles (String Savers).
And we did a small test. We recorded track before replacement and after.
After replacement , sound was more pleasant , warm and sustain was also increased a bit. We like the change.

And now I want also to replace my stock VMNT bridge. But I don't know what type of TonePros will match my axe.
Here are some details of axe(maybe can help)
-1 11/16 nut ( 43 cm)
- 6 string of course

When I removed strings to clean and oil my fretboard , there are BH 1993 written under my bridge. I don't have idea what does it mean.

Maybe changing the saddles of bridge will be enough ?

Back when I had my ESP V Standard I tried replacing the bridge with a Tonepros with Graphtec Saddles.

I'm 99% sure I got the right sized one, but for the life of me I couldn't get it to fit the post spacing. It would slide about 6/8ths the way down then kinda get stuck on a weird angle.

Ended up buying a Gotoh the same dimensions and it slid straight on.?!?

Maybe this just indicates I'm an idiot!?
Perhaps there was a slight iregularity with the bridge itself !?
Maybe a bit of both -

Sorry,

Not much help I know.

In case you need a tonepros locking TOM bridge in black...i have an unused one w/ white saddles i can sell

Replacing tone pro with tone pros isn't going to be much of an improvement. They are made out of zamak, zinc which are not good metals for tone. Your better off getting a Faber or Callaham bridge that are built with better tone metals, steel, brass and titanium (if you want it). I replaced the bridge on my Traditional + LP with a Faber ABRL with brass saddles as well as the ToneLock TP studs and it was a really noticeable improvement over the stock Nashville that came on the LP>

If your bridge has a retainer wire across the saddles, it's an ABR-I bridge.....which means you need the TonePros AVR-II. If it does not have a retainer wire, it's a nashville bridge.....you'll need the T3BP (preslotted saddles), or TP6 (unslotted saddles). I think they sell them with Graphtech saddles already installed too.

T3BP is for small posts, all of my LTDs and ESPs were large post so I used the T3BT on all of them and it fits perfectly. From the pics I've seen, the VMNT looks like a small post.
Both Gotoh and Tonepros bridges for that size use the same sized String Savers: PS-8600-00.
I've only put the string savers on one bridge, but I've been using it for 4 years now and it's changed guitars with me. I've gotten at least one extra show out of a set of strings when using them as long as I keep the strings clean.

If it's a USA made guitar, like a Gibson, it uses small posts. The larger size posts are for overseas made guitars (ESP, Schecter, etc).
