Broken tube in new butterslax question

I usually wedge hard foam or cardboard between the top of the transformers and the headshell. It gives support so the weight of the transformer doesn't pull on the legs when the box is set on it's side or upside down. I think most builders packed their brand new amps like shit though. A few extra steps and you don't need to worry about how bad UPS/FedEx/DHL, et al., suck.

Pack 'em tight, pack 'em right!!

Ups strikes again ...I've had a few bad experiences with them and only use FedEx sorry to hear that on such a sweet amp .

-they all SUCK-(as was previously mentioned)-& none of them will freely just hand over $$$ for damage,... Gotta have proof they're liable & the cause of the damage, they use the -BOX- as there evidence. -(no damage to the BOX, we're not responsible, then you have to file another claim & your in for the long haul)-(or the worst case scenerio, the recipient no longer has the BOX, in this case the recipient is totally screwed)-

-(BEST WAY TO SHIP)-
-#1, is Not To Ship-(but you'll gladly drop it off at the shipper of there choice after they buy it -"AS IS, WHERE IS"-
-#2, bring the amp un-boxed, with the rear panel off-(and while your waiting, take a million pics of it on the counter from every angle & side, the inside & the tubes and however your buyer wants to have the tubes shipped, screw the rear panel back on-(more pics)-have the shipping company pack it-(more pics of the amp in the hands of the clerk)-

-then pray your buyer isn't a scammer, a collector, a douche or asshole who takes advantage of the system statement of -(THE BUYER IS ALWAYS PROTECTED)-
and the system statement for the seller??????.......... ---------(PFFFFFFFFFF!!! FUCK-UM!!!)-

It should be ok. Just put the new tube in it, and see how it does.

UPS throws boxes around. I am almost certain their employees are disgruntled. This is what happens when people are over-worked, and under-paid.
I won't use UPS.
My KATANA is coming FedEx. We'll see what the box looks like when it gets here.

Don't know what region you're in but here in New England UPS drivers make $30+/hr with ot after 8....hardly underpaid. I would agree with overworked though, thats how delivery is across the board atm. I work for Old Dominion freight as an LTL delivery driver(local tractor trailer) and have many friends in many different companies and we're all getting hammered. Thats what happens when everyone wants their shit and don't care how it gets there

Dude I think I might've just gotten your busted B-Slax with the broken tube! Bought brand new from the dealer along with the matching cab, both of which arrived today. Was it the one on the far left? Completely shattered in the head shell and the foot switch was out of the plastic wrapping along with the chords which were just sitting in there uncovered. Could it be?! It arrived dialed with damn near the same settings in your pic so guess I did. How could they do such a thing?!
