Does anyone have a Metro 12,000 with the BE mod? I have the Metro and have been thinking about the Freedman mods for quite some time. What changes in tone am I going to see in the Metro with the BE mod?

Thank you very much for your time.

That would be me.

It's on Dave's bench as we speak. I also have a Metro 2203 with the BE that Dave modded for me a while back in it kills. I'm expecting the 12 Series back in a week or so, so I'll have to get back to you on that one. Or maybe Dave will chime in and let us know how it's sounding.

Thank you very much for the reply. Does the Brown Eye mod work independently from the existing metro architecture? Ultimately, I would like to keep the same values etc as my current Metro 12,000. I think (when engaged) the BE works with the existing architecture and does not change it. Just wanted to confirm.

Done a lot of them it will sound killer.
I'm really getting the itch, so is my amp about ready Dave?

No the amp gets changed. The Brown eye circuit is built on the basics of the 12 series circuit you cant really have both. Also if the amp has Sozo caps in it they all will change. Those do not work at all with my mods unless they are the blue kind.

Why not? Is it an issue of noise or something? I remember your comment in the other thread about the Sozo Blue caps. If you could go into more detail between the two types of Sozos that'd be sweet.
