OK... So I accidentally bought this little monster... and DAMN I am in love with it... Just 14 kilos of pure magic. Gonna take it to a gig on monday, so I will see how it holds up, but I am positive it will do well with a G-Major in the loop.

Any one else had any experiences with these Italian hand-made fireballs?

I have one of the older Mille! preamps that is really warm and great for smooth tones. It does not breathe fire though, but the newer re-release is much more modern and I bet that one is great too!! I think Brunetti makes killer underrated amps.

Yeah... exactly... its smooth.

I do however have a few issues with it... it "farts"... dont know the technical term. But its like a sudden burst of hum. Could it be faulty tubes?

Those sound good on every clip I have heard....too bad you can't really get them over here.

Could be, but I know that is not normal. I have never heard an amp myself do anything like what you speak of. Only constant hum or none at all, but never bursts. Could be a loose piece in the amp itself that when you hit certain frequencies causes it to bounce or something and make contact for a second with some other part that causes that.

First off, thanks for the reply.

I didn't think it to be normal... I have never come across it either. Its a really loud burst. louder than the guitar...

Anyway... I am taking it back to the store today. So goodbye Maranello!

I think I should just suck it up and get the LoneStar anyway

When you have the chance, at least try a Brunetti Wizard. Great great amp (but more expensive)

Giga.
