Super great entertaining chicken robo horror and off the wall as always!
clean 5150 iii on the green pushed with pedals

Amazing player and artist. Years ago when I first heard of him, I thought Paul Gilbert was Buckethead.

He obviously plays very good but I would never attend a show like that. That is boring like hell.

Why doesn't he get a backing band???

I would rather set at home and beat off than watch that shit or listen to it.

Damn 45 minuets of playing with no backing band?

Pretty sure he plays to a backing track run through the PA.

A few of my friends saw him maybe like 4-5 months ago and they said he was on fire and his tone was some of the best they've heard. I had to work :aww:

I think they got pictures of what he was using at the time I'm gonna see if it was still the 5150 III when I talk to them later, just out of curiosity.

I watched it at home while beating off and thought it was fucking great

Buckethead is killer!!! Seen him numerous times and his live shows are kick ass. Been in to him since the Giant Robot S/T disc. I was a huge fan and kind of lost track of his studio output as he releases so much stuff I cannot keep up!!!

Seeing as people just want to see him playing guitar and to see HIM then he ticks those boxes. Along with his amazing playing he does robot dancing, nunchuck sections and plays hectic slap bass too, so his shows have variety in that respect.

But yeah, it would be cool to see him with an actual band, but who would you put behind him; nameless guys in "regular" stage clothes? Or maybe dress them up in robot outfits or something? From a financial perspective I guess as long as people are happy to let him do his show as JUST him then he'll be taking the lion's share of the money and not having to split it with a band.

I've seen him solo a couple of times, but he was best with Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains.

I used to be a big Claypool-head. Let's just say, with a heavily altered mind, standing 10 feet away from Buckethead when all you knew him as was the dude who replaced Slash in GnR... he left quite the impression. Awesome performer in that regard. The nun-chucks, dancing, etc... some of it is gimmicky, but he is really fucking good at it.

Every time I have seen him he had a band and it rocked. The Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains show was also awesome!!!! He is an amazing player. Ozzy also wanted him in his band, but he refused to take off the bucket.

Do you guys know Buckethead has released over 300 albums in his career, including solo and colabs? That's freaking insane! :salute:

he's a versatile giant,
if you don't 'get it' too bad for you
go rewind those dokken albums or work on your 'lay it down" skills

I know it's not for everyone, but I love his music. It's just so off the wall and original. I can't keep up with his output though. He has so many outlets but he's a true creative mind.
