Budda Superdrive 30 preamp question for Dave

Dave,
Since you had a big hand in creating this amp, I was wondering what tubes you recommend for the preamp section? Budda recommends sovteks, but have you found anything you like better that may suit this amp?

You can use chinese 12ax7s in it. Play with it what ever you like is fine.
