I know people hate the Bugera line...and for good reason really. But when they get down to the price of a pedal, sometimes they are tough to resist even that you know that they are fairly disposable amps. Regardless, if you have a 333XL and wanted to add a resonance control to it like the JSX has here are some simple instructions.

I should be doing one for the 6262 possibly next week as well.

Edit :
Here is the 6262 version if anyone wants it:

And took the time to tell me like I care?

Pretty sure a few guys here have bought those recently as they were blowing them out at lower prices. Thanks for the info.

No problem. That was the exact reason that I posted. I know people grabbed these here and there on the MF.com sale. I'm not trying to start the Bugera debate. I know what they are. I can make my own decisions if I want to spend $200-$250 on one. I actually picked up the 6262 on the sale and just used the 333XL that I've had for while as a test run in a sense. I felt the 6262 needed the adjustable resonance once I started playing it. So in the end you would have the same controls as the Peavey just with an additional reverb.

I've also seen a lot of bad info on these on what to replace. It's amazing how one bozo posts how to do it incorrectly, then other's follow without having a clue. Especially on something fairly simple like this with Peavey schematics readily available.

I see that. You have proven that with 2 of your 8 worthless posts in the forum. I know it's a challenge to create an account and hop on the Blades and Bugera hating bandwagon and think you are a cool guy for doing it.

bugera has sucked for oh .... 5 maybe 6 years since they came out.

Their suckiness in the amp world they earned all by themselves.

I wouldn't buy one.

As you were recruit.

I dont know....I snagged one of the 6260 amps for 250 shipped from musicians friend. Sounds pretty damn good for that price.

Hey Dan whats new?

I'm doubtful he will get that, unless of course it really is Dan. I should also edit my post to say 9 worthless posts.

Looks like they are dropping prices more. $229 for a 6260?
Man this is my best bang for the buck purchase ever!
Sounds really really good toss a EQ in the loop.

Damn...that might have to be my back up....hopefully no fire though. Pretty great price

If you get one either replace the power tubes or check their current right away. They can be really mismatched. I think this is why so many die early. One overloads then dies taking out other tubes or parts with it.

I had a 333xl for a time. Never had any problems with it. Sold it to my friend who still uses it in his studio. A bunch of guitar players have beaten on it and it is still going strong. The guitar player for Great White used it to rehearse before a show and loved it. Go figure. BTW, nice write up on the mod. Even an all thumbs idiot like me can follow it.

Hey Guys,

i stumbled across your post and was wondering whether I have to make sure to use a specific rated pot? - I got one of these Carbon pots lying around at home (link: http://www.produktinfo.conrad.com/daten ... 6_Mono.pdf).
Is it save to use one of these, or do I have to use one wich is rated for higher wattage/voltage (as far as i know my pot is only capable of max 125V)? I am asking because I have seen that there are also ones rated for 250V audio and 500V DC (should i use one of these??).

Thanks for your help, i am really keen on modding my 6262 to add some sex to the lower frequencies :P
