I know several on here love doing this. I’ve thought about it many times but never followed through. Pretty good video on building one.

I did my Certano bender tele I use for country gigs through them. Worked out OK but the frets definitely needed leveling.

Agreed and should be expected when taking on a project like this. I’ve built many Warmoth guitars and they have all needed fretwork. Some very little and others more. Most will play decent out of the box though.

I built these three along with a couple great luthiers that did the fretwork (all three 1-piece Alder, Lite Ash, Alder) BKP, DiMarzio, Floyd, Schaller, Sperzel.

I recently just picked up a roasted birdseye maple neck with an ebony fretboard from them on sale for $250. It's gorgeous.

I've built 4 of them..just for reference...it's usually in the $12-1400 with pickups/hardware etc..for doing it up nice. I usually pay my local tech at the music store to wire and set it up though..so could possibly save 1-200 if you do those things yourself, or even more if you can do the finishing as well. Warmoth does a good job on finishes though. I can agree the fretwork is usually not perfect, but as noted earlier in the thread they are good out of the box.

I have bought a couple body blanks off Ebay and had a buddy with a CNC router cut out my own designs and used Warmoth necks. Both were learning experiences for me..the finishes were a motherfucker as something in the grain fill did not agree with the top coats..but still turned out ok. Pics of the two home growns and the 4 Warmoths attached

I like the Koa one. I see you changed the selector from a slider to toggle, on the other two.
