Built myself a bass!

120 year old Douglas fir body with quilt maple top. Duncan ABP1 PU'S. Gotoh bridge. DR blacks with hip shot tuners.

Sounds huge with really good snap!

Wow, what made you choose that wood?

It's basically old super tight grain Uber dry pine. It sounds unreal. I wanted a light body with focused tone. I built a tele out of it also. The quilt top just looked sick. It started out black then blue and then pink...my wife chooses my colors on my builds!
