YOU CAN NO LONGER UPDATE YOUR YOUTUBE ACCOUNT UNLESS YOU GET A GOOGLE ACCOUNT

this is what you get when you login

Update your YouTube account by linking to a Google Account
You will no longer be able to sign in to YouTube without a Google Account.
If you do not want to link this YouTube account, you can sign out here.

I saw that a few days ago. I opted to "sign out here" (I only had a few videos of my dog on there anyway). :D

Yeah, it is kind of a pain but not really a big deal. I did it and it is fine.

YouTube has gotten to be a bit of a pain but I just went ahead and created a goggle account and everything is working perfecty.

I've ignored the option to link accounts for as long as possible, but now that it's mandatory I figured "what the hell, why not?" It's not really that big of a deal IMO. Besides I already had a google email account. It may be a bit annoying, but I don't think it's reason enough to stop using Youtube. :dunno: Not really a big deal to me.

Don't see what the big deal is...it takes 2 minutes to set up a google account and they don't require any personal info

Exactly, whats the big deal. I have several "throw away" gmail accounts, and I just used one for YouTube.

I have really been considering deleting all of my videos since I get way to many questions about Cameron and the CCV. I am past all of drama.

Now you can just tell them to give Brad a call and have a credit card handy.

Welcome to the great circle jerk friend, where anyone can find out anything about you at any time for no reason, but in order to get anything done you have to fill out piles of forms with the same goddamn readily available information over and over again before they even find the energy to look at you.

When I go to google it already knows where I live without me having to put in any information (displays current city in bottom corner) and there's no way to remove or block that aspect, then they probably track what you search for without ever needing probable cause to do so. Welcome to freedom, grab a card and get in line like everyone else.

ip address is how they know, try a proxy if you want to mask that.

exactly

google owns youtube, it makes sense that you would need a google account

and no, IP addresses do not contain your physical address, all they do contain is the physical address of your ISP (mine for instance is totally wrong)

your address is publically listed information, that is where it comes from

Thought someone hacked m account, didnt know what was going on
