I just want a little more flexibility without changing jacks. Anyone tried either of these into the Helios?

I would suggest the Wessex or Burnley. They are both killer, very warm and amp like.

I assume you mean for the clean channel? In that case the lower input will be better suited to those pedals as the clean channel might be too juiced if you're running into the hot input. Try both and return the one - or the New JHS Andy Timmons is supposed to be great for clean channel as well.

I own Burnley, Wessex, XTC Blue and Harlow. I used all of them through my Helios. I liked the Wessex and the Harlow best for the Helios. The Burnley was cool but the distortion on the amp is killer so no need for the burnley. The wessex was best overall imo but I love the Harlow. The Harlow added wool and made it sustain forever and could nail EJ tones. The Blue, meh. it sounds kinda flat compared to the others with the Helios. still cool but not as good as the others imo.

Sell all of your overdrive pedals and grab a Thorpy Gunshot...nothing else is even close to the real amp feel and huge tones that thing puts out.

Mainly to use when plugged into the plex input. I would like something that would either give me the hot channel 2 tones from the plex input either through channel 1 or 2. I like the clips of the burnley the best, just don't know how it would sound through the helios

The Burnley is crisper, tighter and more gain. If you want to use it as a hot channel so to speak then Burnley is best. If you want to just juice it up, then Wessex. The wessex will take the PLex channel over the top in enhanced mode, but it will be looser feeling.

The Burnley sounds killer in the Plex input clean channel. Turns it into a fire breather.

I tell you what. all three of the pedals (harlow wessex and burnley) are awesome with the Helios just different.
