Buying a Wizard MCII...which transformer?

So theres A..B....C ? and now V. Some clips I hear have this smooth top end going on...some have a more gritty thing (which I like) Any comparison clips or someone with insight? Gotta figure out which transformer to tell Rick to put in...

The Mcii I had with V transformers seemed more aggressive and slightly brighter than my MTL with A transformers. The A's are definitely darker.

Some C transformer fiddling I did for you just a minute ago... its brighter with aggressive tendencies tight bottom. this is low volume and is what it is as far as sound lol hope it gives you an idea anyway

Want a Wizard badly play some VH riffs, never see this in any Wizard clips seriously....!

I need my amps to be able to pull off ACDC and VH very well, anything else is just icing on the cake! Well Led Zep would be good as well

Great, not many for sale recently and most are 50 watt, and I prefer 100 and I will be cranking it up good if needed. I'm thinking the MCI would be fine as well.

there is a VC100 for sale in the classifieds at an incredible price.

Yes I've seen and salivated over that VC100 but I've got several great plexi's already.

nope. I think production is gonna move to ETI here in California.

What are you hearing on that....is he in negotiations with ETI right now and has anything been signed that you are aware of? Did you hear of a start date of production and that type thing?

That was something I heard in passing during a discussion with some folks that are privy.
Everyone is trying to move over to ETI, why wouldn't they?
They have put Friedman in every store and magazine.
Other builders want that too.

Thanks for the heads up! I understand it might be appealing to do that from a business standpoint. Its going to be interesting to watch. I personally would rather him do what Soldano is doing- and like Soldano- still manage to get in the stores. will see I guess
