So I've had my pre-Fryette Fat Bottom 2x12 with P50Es forever. Love the cab and have loved how it sounds with every setup I've put through it. However, I want to add a new flavor that will pair nicely, yet add some different spice.

I do not want it to be over-sized nor a Marshall. I have no brand loyalties or hate toward any, I just have never liked any cabs Marshall I've ever played through with various amps. I've been thinking about the Orange Jim Root 2x12, but can't find any local used.

What are some recommendations?

Bogner 2x12 Stack Cab - it's same width as their 4x12 but only 17" tall.

I think the Genz Benz G-Flex is a great cab. They're easy to come by used at a good price. Swap the speakers out (I put a pair of G12-K85's) and it sounds massive.

Benn through more 2X12 than I care to remember.
Here are my top 3 favorites:

StoneAge (now using)
Port City
Dr Z Z-Best

The Bogner is definately the 2x12 by which all others are judged! It's killer & sounds fab

Egnater Tourmaster 2x12 can be Hamid for relatively little $$$ and they sound great. I've been gigging one for years.

I have a pair of Avatar Contemporary 2x12's with a mix of Vintage 30's and CL80's that sound good to my ears. Well-built and priced reasonably...

If you're looking for something you can pick up locally, check out the EVH 2x12. I've been impressed with every one I've played through.

If you're willing to order, Port City for sure.

Ive always liked the Soldano closed back 2x12 with any amp ive tried through it....

I actually ended up buying a Bogner 2x12OS from someone on here. I wasn't looking for OS, I know, but he gave me a solid price and it's pretty mint. Plus, it's Bogner, can't go wrong there.
