Cab/speaker suggestions for Mesa Mark V

Someone resurrected this thread (>1 year old), so I might as well let you guys know what I did! I got the Mesa Boogie recto traditional 4x12. This cab sounds amazing with the Mark V, in my noobish opinion. I traded my Mark V for a Diezel Herbert and I seriously regret that. The Mesa cab is still in my possession, but now a Soldano Avenger is blasting though it  Thanks for all the input though.

Didn't even notice that the thread was resurrected. I know what you mean. I have owned I think four Mark Vs at this point and I am currently GASing for another at the moment

I have the Recto oversized cab and don't like it as much as the 2x12 Recto cab I had before. I'd recommend the smaller 4x12 (traditional/stiletto), if you want a 4x12.

Only cab I'm running mine through is a 3/4 back with a C90. Very happy with this setup, but I've not tried any other yet.

Dump the Celestions, get an Eminence V12 and you'll never think about Celestion again.

Eminence speakers are the speakers Celestion wishes Celestion made.

Since I made the switch I have never looked back or used another Celestion, and would only if they backed 3 dump trucks filled with 100 dollar bills to my house 4 times a day.

i like the k100/h100 celestion speakers.

i think they're the least tone coloring of most speakers that i've tried.

I prefer the C90 myself.

People have always said the C90 is darker. I've never found that to be the case. It just doesn't seem to have the depth and bottom end that the usual V-30s have. This video is one of the best examples of the Mark V with both Celestion's that Mesa offers. I like the C90 best. Especially with my Roadster.

Interesting comparison. I like the C90 for clean/crunch but V30 for high gain and the C90 is definitely brighter/ harsher

It's either the recto standard or traditional which is the taller cab. I'm thinking I can get a big sound from a standard but never have tried either.
