Cabclone or wait for the Captor?

Looking for a cheap load box, cab sim and DI that actually sounds good. I see mixed reviews of the Cabclone. I'm not going to be using the headphone output so I'm not worried about the issues with that. The Two Notes Captor is supposed to be out in April and will be $70 cheaper than Cabclone but I'm not the patient type.

Thoughts on the Cabclone?

Did anybody here try or hear the Captor at NAMM?

This one is a no brainer, wait for the Captor. Price wise and feature wise, you get a Load which you can already hear in the Live and Reload videos, WOSIII software with some cabs (even if they suck you can get others, I don't think the Torpedo stock cab IR's are that great), -20 db set attenuation for playing through the amp while you record the amp into WOS. This is a no brainer.. the cabclone sounds like ass. I only ordered a reload because I needed attenuation and prefer to record real mics but great to have all the other stuff to fall back on (reamp/IR's/Load)

the cabclone is terrible.

That's what I picked up on when I was researching this stuff a while back... i'd wait.

Thanks, guys. Looks like I'll get on Sweetwater's preorder list.

You could also get a Suhr Reactive Load, if you don't feel like waiting.

This. You could still use the WOS III plug. I prefer the Redwirez mixIR 2 plug but either works.

Cool thing about Redwirez is that it is the raw tone of each mic for mixing. Nothing is done for you so you would still experiment as you would real mics.
