One of the best preamps ever made and this version is the most desirable one out of all of them! This has the super high quality potentiometers, and you simply can't get them anymore. John Suhr is still modifying these and even has a MIDI add-on board his son created for this to make it fully MIDI capable. In fact, he specifically recommends this version:

He can tweak it to SE and even go further with his blackface Fender clean channel mods, voltage mods, crosstalk fixes on the early models, replacement transformer he offers that EVH used but didn't make it into production... Lots of options!

I'm honestly surprised this is still here. If anyone wants, there's also a Lexicon PCM80 for sale for $620 shipped (!!!) on TGP. Pair that with this, add a solid power amp, and you have one of the best sounding rigs that will rival basically anything even to this day. Van Halen - The Dream is Over. Lukather - Candyman (entire album). Megadeth's Youthanasia album. Billie Joe Armstrong's live rig, it's on Metallica's Black album... So many iconic tones!
