You are 100% correct.
The authorities are not doing one damn thing to the guy because he didn't break any laws.
He's not in trouble. Legally.

What he did was act like a royal AAA grade asshole on national TV while millions were watching.
With their kids.
It was a KIDS Christmas call, remember?

What happens a lot of times when you are an asshole in life?
You get a punch in the mouth.

Just want to add:
Trump may have promoted policies and ideologies that many of you agree with (I agree with a some!).
But I'd bet some of you'd also agree, he was (and still is) a terrible PR spokesperson person for the
Republican party - if taken on a whole.

He enjoys the Left hating him - he goes out of his way to encourage it.
He's smart - a DeNIro like stunt was just going to make his base angry so he probably loved it.
Terrible spokesperson.
Brilliant marketer.

Politics aside, a lot of people can understand saying FU to a person like Trump.
Biden (other than being a politician on the left, and very old) is a nice guy who is trying to heal the country.

Trump looks for any wounds he can find and then rubs salt in them.

They just kept harping on his policies - most of which were enough for the left to dislike him anyway.
