Looking at it real quick I know there are more changes than a simple Jose MV. (i.e the preamp) I'm going to assume one of the knobs on the back is for a PPIMV and the other for some diode clipping. I'll leave the rest for you pro's to decipher! What I am getting at is that I only saw three preamp tubes and I expected there to be a fourth. That's really the meat and potatoes of my comment

I see no PPIMV.

There is no PPIMV. The back panel knobs are a bass boost and frequency control. The aldrich does not use 4 pre amp tubes. It is a four gainstage design using only 3 pre amp tubes. It is a killer sounding mod. Lots of gain without any diode clipping.

No need for a fourth tube to get 4 tube gain stages. You are wrong about both the PPIMV and the diode clipping thing as far as the knobs on the back. The meat and potatoes of your comment is not correct. No diode clipping here...

lol, you guys are the mod squad gestapo ! After i posted my comment, I looked at the amp closer and thought, shit, I bet what I think is a PPIMV is a frequency or bass boost as it reminds me a bit of how the bass boost was wired on my old laney (in terms of where it sits) and what I think are diodes aren't because they look like caps. So I'm wrong No shame in that!

PS- the "meat and potatoes" of my comment was the surprise over no additional preamp tube. Are we becoming the gearpage here? Yikes!
