From listening to the 2 clips I would take the CCV all day long. IMO.

I thought that first clip was cool but I wasnt wowed, Should I pick a new hobby? The remonti clip didnt do beans for me at all but considering how it was recorded, I dont really put much stock in anything other than personal experience and playing time..

On the other hand, the RS SS prototype with Steve playing it sounded glorious IMO...

I'm no Cameron fanboy, quite the opposite actually, and the Atomica amp slays the CCV for my style. The Atomica really is a great sounding amp, I have to admit it no matter how I feel about Mark.

Then I guess we shouldn't put much stock in that comment unless your name is Steve or Dave Friedman. ;)

No you shouldnt, not even for them. Its easy to love or hate a clip but truthfully, Ive gotten to the point where unless I personally play something in person, Im not putting any stock in clips or other people, regardless of who they are..

How did it clean up with the vol knob? One of the things that always amazes me about Marks mods is the way it cleans up to a semi-clean. Of the Marshall mods Ive owned none have been able to get a gritty clean like that. I gather this is a function of the clipping toggles after reading the PDF Brad posted?

i thought the vids made the ccv sound better

but in the room the atomica sounded way better to me.

more chewy harmonic saturated goodness!

the ccv for tremonti for the win.

no more tremonti hate please

i am a fanboi fer sure!

One thing you can't take away from Tremonti is he's sold millions more records than anyone here ever will.

My money is on Superunknown!

He already plays Camerons and the singer in his band can sing!2 things goin for him already.

Clips sound cool to me.im already chewing at the bit waiting for my old bitch.

Sadly, all these clips you have to assume the amp sounds better in person, but that's always the case. Both of these you can pretty much tell what's going on tonewise, but that iphone is completely farting out from the volume in there. I'd be scared to be near that hotel room without earplugs. :-p

It was f'n LOUD in there for sure. The video taken of me on the Atomica did not turn out for partially that reason.

I would have liked to have seen that. Even though the vids up so far are not ideal, I can still hear a tone that sounds really good. Based only on the cheap videos, I would be money(and I don't have much) that it sounded pretty sweet in the room. Now where are those SATAN clips?

A L O H A, Mark and Brad... Great hanging out with you guys.

My take on the Cameron Atomica:

HOLY WOWZERZ Batman!!! This amp RULEZ ALL!!! HUGE tone at TV volumes, Monsterously punchy and clear, TONS of tonal bliss of all sorts of varieties to be had here guys, Cleans up UNREAL even at RIDICULOUS ROBOgain settings, which still had plenty of gain to go w/ the gain around 2 o'clock! It can get REALLY LOUD, if that's your thing, but it doesn't require it-- to Scream like a savage, or sing like an angel. I AM getting this amp ASAP!! Such rich harmonic content, British flavor from Classic to Modern, quiet operation (surprisingly VERY quiet, even at LOUD settings), I nominate this for amp of the year!!!

These clips don't do the amp justice AT ALL!!! This freakin thing has been what I've been searching for for YEARS!!!

The little 18 Watt proto type amp is RIDICULOUS Too!!! Mark Cameron is a fucking genius at making amps do what I want them to, and as far as I am concerned, this little tyke, sounds WAY WAY bigger and louder than you'd expect. Stunning home run here too.

Congrats guys!!! THIS is the one for me.

I agree, but both sound great and I would love to hear the Atomica in person or with a better recording!!!

OMG ,Mark you make that amp sound 1000x better than Tremonti, to be honest i wasn't really that impressed with the Rockstar playing it. Makes me wonder.
