Hey Guys,

Actually Mark Tremonti called me this morning and is getting a CCV half stack so that works for him. Other guys dug the ATOMICA more. Both are cool. We are going to sell the ATOMICA proto from the show and ship this week if anyone is interested PM me. Production Atomicas start being built in Feb and shipping in March.

Still would like to hear a VH type tone with the Atomica....

Congrats on the sale. Very cool. It really seemed to mesh well with his style.

How would you surmise the differences between the CCV and Atomica? CCV sounds a bit wider to me and a bit darker (although I'm sure this can be changed with the switches). The Atomica sounds closer to a Marshall and a bit more focused by comparison.

Cool! Congrats Brad, I know like Alter Bridge so that's must be neat to have a guitar player you like playing an amp you brought to market.

Mark plays Bogners so I can see where he would gravitate toward it.

The amp is capable of dialing in a LOT of different tones, a lot of Ed's tones as well (From old to new), among others. For those looking for their own sound, there is something there too. There's a 3-way rotary knob on the back panel, which selects different levels of diode clipping/gain styles, along w/ switches and a thump control on the front panel, which make it VERY versatile. It can get very chewy w/ Boogie style feel, or very tight for our Metal maniac friends, OR classic rock tones which we all know and love, and there is TONS of gain on tap, WAY more than I would use on a regular basis. I think the setting Mark Day had the amp on was the highest gain level on the rotary knob, but the preamp gain was only at around 1-2 o'clock.

I can't wait to get this thing and run it through the big w/d/w rig.... AHHH Rock-N-Roll Tone HEAVEN!!!

I was just saying in a sarcastic manner that judging from the clips SO FAR.... that old VH tone hasn't been heard from it yet. Which from what I understand the Atomica was supposed to be based on an amp seen by a few men that THE old VH tone. If I had an amp based on that I'd sure as hell make sure that was put out there demoing that.

No worries... THAT is in there too (Plug into the low gain input and adjust the rotary knob on the back and let her rip). There is no way to please everyone, and if that had been the main focus of the clips, guys would have complained that they want to hear what else it could do, because of how stupid they feel tone chasing someone elses tone is... yada yada

This amp is coming home to me, and the sooner the better. :D  ;)

Anyway,

That's kind of what I thought the Atomica was supposed to be and would have assumed that would have been a, if not the, selling point. Certainly, I could have mistaken as to what was said.

Someone mentioned Bogner. Bogner and cranked plexi go together like, well, like Bogner and cranked plexi.

I have no idea what was where when I played it and I didn't touch the knobs but it sounded great as it was. It was maybe a tad bright for me but still sounded great. I had it pretty much doing the full on metal thing...I think it depends on the player.
.

Sounds like a versatile amp.

Sooo, some Atomic Clips? :)

When I get it, I will definitely post some. I have a Cameron modded High Gain Jose Marshall SLP, and imo the Atomica KILLS it, there is definitely a Cameron heritage thing going on though.
