spoke to zach today about the amp
man it takes a lot to impress him and i could tell he was freaking out about how great the amp sounded! he was pumped to get one of these and said it killed the modded cameron marshall he has.

i hope i get to hear it one day!

It sounds already pretty good for an Iphone but I can see a mic on one of the cab so I guess we will hear some proper clips ?

How would you surmise the differences between the CCV and Atomica? CCV sounds a bit wider to me and a bit darker (although I'm sure this can be changed with the switches). The Atomica sounds closer to a Marshall and a bit more focused by comparison.

Just the opposite. The Atomica is certainly darker, more gain, a little less tight or focused than the CCV.

Virtually everyone who played through the Atomica or heard it being played by others said the same thing when finished playing it, "BADD AASSS!!"

I have to say this is one of, if not my favourite tube amp I've ever had the pleasure of trying. It is mean, has gobs of gain, HUGE bottom that totally stays together and has that awesome chewy gug-gug thing going

This clip was shot with an iPhone 4s as my recording gear has not yet arrived from Canada.

I can not wait to get one of these. Everyone who I witnessed play through this was totally blown away.
This amp is going to create a lot of curiosity for sure. I am sold.

BTW, Mark-- It was great hanging out with you and talking and jamming a bit at the show. I really enjoy your playing. That amp has me psyched out to the MAX!

So, with all the people super excited about it, will the Atomica become the Cameron flagship model?

Depends on the individual, and their requirements.

I wish Brad, & Mark C ALL the best for all of the Cameron products. They are ALL SERIOUS forces to be reckoned with, and flagships in their own right. These are game changers!!

I can't wait to plug this into the big rig and go nuts. The prospect has me beside myself w/ anticipation. :2thumbsup:

I played both Friday.. Great amps. The Atomica has a more vintage vibe and cleans up really good when you roll the volume down. The CCV is more modern and saturated. It depends on your taste. I think Tremonti takes to the CCV better..it's just noodling and the I-Phone. I think Mark was just feeling the amps out. All three Camerons sounded better in the room. The little one was cool as hell
