Holy shit, that sounded great! First time I've heard one...thanks!
Is this an older CCV? Since Mark is getting carte blanche on the components the builder uses will there possibly be tonal differences? I know in the past Mark would spend weeks or longer tuning each amp. How will this be affected? Will he find the perfect tone to his ears and then all amps will be built consistently like the prototype he tunes to his ear? Did he tune each amp seperately in the past because most of the amps had differences in component brands, etc.?

In the past Mark gets the same sound in his head out of his work using what he had on hand. Thats why he had to "tune" each amp, because he was using what he had to get the sound he likes. Kinda like a great player who gets his tone with whatever gear he happens to have at the moment. Now he has what he wants, as I type this he is at Tone Merchants with the parts catalog hand picking each and every component, maker and value. Then next week he will hand build the production prototype 001 with the midi circuit, line out and his new FX loop design by hand at the manufacturer with them there taking notes. It will take a few days and he will get it exactly the way he wants it and test it/play it/burn it in/try different tubes/make sure it is the best he can do. Once he signs off on it that is what we will build exactly. Thats the plan.

Cool! That's what I figured. Thanks Brad. Now with the components being consistent, the amps should sound great. I hope Mark is as anal about the new amps as he has been in the past. I hope he is somewhat out of his depression and feeling better about himself and his talent.

For everyone that asked we can sell the Cameron Cabs unloaded for $750 + shipping.

It is my understanding the speakers Rob was quoted are the Heritage G12H. Celestion gave us the same speakers that Mark has always been using in his cabs which to my understanding are the Heritage version. I have asked Rob to call today and clarify.

Ok, Dave Friedman just pulled the back off of Marks cabinet at the shop and the speakers he uses and has always used in the 4x12's are the regular Celestion G12H speakers. NOT the Heritage version. That was 100% my fault confusing the two speakers.

If anyone who pre-ordered a matching Cameron 4x12 cab would like a refund based on this just let me know and I will do it immediately. Mark never did spec the Heritage version of the speaker and loves the sound of the regular Celestion G12H in his cabs.

ok guys heres a few clarifications.

the price of the unloaded cab will be 650.00. plus shipping. Sorry for the confusion, i was never good with math and gave brad the wrong figures. Also, the speakers will be the regular Celestion G12H speakers. Like brad stated, these are in mark's cab and mark has always said these were the speakers he liked best for the ccv.

This is the same speaker offered by Bogner, Divided by 13 and lots of other boutique companies.

anyone running a ccv doesnt want to run the heritage version anyway, it sounded way to dark and mushed out for the ccv... I've tried them all and owned the ccv now for years .... g12h anny is tits, if you want more of a modern and darker balanced tone go for the x pattern like a run... CL80 and g12h30 anny ... you'll thank me later and so will the crowd when you go to take a solo , you wont be cuttin heads...

I know I sound like a cheap ass, but will the shipping of the unloaded cabs be cheaper as well? Those speakers are heavy!

I sent a PM to Rob last week and didn't get a response. I'd like to know this as well. I would think it would be at least a little bit less. But given the size, it may still get rated at a heavier shipping weight anyway.

They charge dimensional weight not actual weight based on size. So the lack of speakers does not change what they charge. Shipping cabs does suck.
