Sounds huge, but maybe a little too dark. Might sound very different through an SM57 though.

I would much rather hear the in-the-room sound as opposed to miked up clips. Sounds pretty durn good to me

Yerp, that's closer to how the human ear would hear it in the room..unless you have a cardboard ear drum and play guitar with your ear next to the speaker.
Sounds killer Steve! I'm not hearing any harshness or fizz, just a good Marshall style cut that would kill in a mix.

Amazing how different we all are when it comes to our amps.. some people think it is the tone while some others like me thinks it sounds buzzy and like excessive diode clipping.

But, all Jose's are not created equal and the original circuit is quite different. It's all in the master volume placement in the tone stack and the taper on the Jose master.
