Messing around with my 3 Channel Cameron Atomica HG Jose yesterday and made a quick EVH clip. Although others do it much much better...this amp makes you wanna play VH  Used my Sykes LP and Friedman Cab with El Capistan in the loop. Recorded with Zoom Q3 in front of Cab...

Sounds great! Do you have the clipping engaged?
I know it has been posted by millions Eddie did not use a Jose mod. Having played quite a few Cameron Joses, there is just something in Eddies leads where I swear it reminds me of diode clipping. I hear it in his treble allot. There is also a feel associated with it that comes through in his recordings. Maybe it was just the squash from the Variac.

Mine doesn't have an actual diode clipping switch. I would assume that the HG input automatically engages the diode clipping. I have the attenuation knob on the back on full with both gain controls on the front backed off to around 10:30/11:00 O'Clock.

Who knows. Mark did allot of these different. I had one he did like the Atomica but it had a pull on the master for clipping. Yours sounds like it has quite a bit of gain. I know he did another Atomica that was lower gain.
Sounds great anyway and nice VH playing.

I remember you used to have another video up, it was a Cameron modded marshall and you used the el cap in that one also. that one sounded great.

Nice. Just saw this posted up on the FB....EVH fan page I beleive.

Sounds good man.

Sounded great. What settings did you have on the El Capistan delay? You had it set perfectly.

Has some good VH tones, but not close enough for my tastes. With that said I like the tone a lot. It has punch and is crisp with nice high end sizzle. I could play that tone for hours.

I tend to agree Dave...too much gain from both the amp and pickup. I used the Dirty Fingers in my Sykes LP. I tried to cut the gain back on the amp to 10:30 o'clock but this mod has a shitload of gain as you well know. I could have turned the attenuation down and used the low gain input as well(too lazy :D ). This tone was a bit closer to Joe Holmes than EVH....
