Cameron Modded Marshall?????

I ran across this on eBay. I contacted the seller and requested he looked for Mark's signature and he could not find one. Just curious if any experts out there might clear the waters on this one. on.

Not a bad opening bid price if this was owned by Norum? Seller isn't offering anything I see that proves the lineage of the amp though?

Not being a wiseass, but 2 things jump out at me.
Norum typically likes 50 watters
It has a back cover, and Cameron is notorious for not including those after his mods (among other things, but let's not go down that rabbit hole).

It should be a Norum mod (Aldrich mod).

that's why i am hesitating to buy.

Mark did a few Norum/Aldrich mods done with clipping but I don't think in his earlier modding years.. I haven't heard of any Aldrich mods with a Jose master. A few years ago I was talking to Mark about 93, Norum, etc..

We were talking about a particular Aldrich mod. He said it was only maybe the 10th amp he had modded and that he did it in 93. I dont think he did any Jose mods by 94. Didn't Jose pass away around then so Mark would not have seen any of Joses amps in the store until after Jose passed. The Aldrich mod at this time had no name. Mark was modding amps for himself prior to around this time.

He told me he loaned Doug his amp and not long after he asked Doug if he could call it the Aldrich. He said he used to go over Doug s house and hang with him. He was pretty tight with John Norum also. He said he he helped Jon record Another Destination with John using his amp. Said he did most of it in one take. He did an amp for John and also his Wife Michelle I think. He said Michele's amp was a JMP.

He told me the amp he did for Jon was a resissue so the one listed could be it. He said it didn't have all the bells and whistles. I think the seller doesn't know much about amps. I don't see any bass boost. It wouldn't have 2 masters. Those pots in the jacks should be gain pots. Shouldn't have clipping if this is "The amp"
I could have the above incorrect. Thats what I remember. So if he did this amp in 94, it shouldn't be a Jose. Fwiw, theres a real Jose for sale, but they want 15K

Interesting.... Alot of knowledge on here. If there were books on all of the cool modded amp stories from Bogner, Cameron, Suhr, Friedman, etc.. I would sure by it.

Went to check out this amp last week, the seller also had a 50 watt JCM800 that was also modded by Cameron, the SLP sounded pretty good but unfortunately the effects loop previously installed had been removed, pretty much a deal breaker for me, no clean channel either which I could have overlooked but I need a amp with a effects loop for most of my gigs..it was previously owned by Norum and used to record the Another Destination album, this was confirmed to me by Mark Cameron by a phone conversation as I was trying to get info on the amp, the 50 watt amp did have a effects loop and sounded ok but not as good as the SLP to my ears

Was the 100w SLP an aldrich or a jose?
