this guy was on here churning out some nice sounding mods for a while and then poof homesauce was ghandi

So what does this thing actually sound like?

Like was it just gutted and basically a Cameron now? Or does it sound like a Wizard with some changes?

I am a member of many electrical groups including radio repair and a random tech post had one of R/T’s work come across his bench not knowing who it was and stating what a mess it was. R/T had built an amp for someone and it was damaged in shipping due to poor craftsmanship on his part and shoddy flying lead style design. R/T refused to warranty the damage and pushed the customer to file a claim with shipping. The tech said it’s some of the worst work he’s ever seen and the client was charged to return the amp back to stock. This all happened and was aired out in an advanced electronics repair group not related to guitar amps.

I welcome the R/T dude to come and clarify what happened and why he wouldn’t repair his own work but it was not good work to begin with and he disappeared soon after that occurred and hasn’t been back since.

The W800 is a very basic amp that Rick makes. It's not a MTL, MC, or Hell Razor. It wasn't gutted. Mark modded it to channel 2 of a CCV. It sounds.....just like a CCV.

He did do good stuff 10+ yrs ago. Much to my surprise last few years heard he was stealing peoples amps and money or something to that effect.
Went off the deep end.
They just don't make amp builders like they used to.

i do recall some back and forth questioning the Fab-esque workmanship😂

The Canuck had folks lining up for amps. He can wire & he can play.
Not sure where things got off track but hope things work out for all concerned.
