I've got a bones and my boss and the Fortin don't really match up very well so was wondering if anyone had suggestions.
I'm not really a fan of rackmount delays because of all the issues adding more rack gear can add. Ground loops and such. I just need a simple delay with some options that sounds transparently and matches up with the Fortin loop.

After playing with many of the newer delay pedals, I have noticed that my Old Boss delay does not sound as clean as the others but
You shouldn't have a problem with the Boss in the loop of the Fortin. The trick is getting the right send and returns levels. With that said, even after you get the levels set I can tell you from experiance that my TC flashback delay kills my boss pedal. So I guess what Im saying is that if you have already screwed around with all the levels and such, and you don't need to switch delay settings n the fly, I can highly recommend the TC flashback. Its really a great sounding easy to use delay pedal

+1 for the flashback or even the other tc pedal delays, i have a nova repeater coming in soon which should be good as well

the killdry function is very useful for parallel loops and the output level is good, worked the best in the cali mod i had for a little while

For stomp box delays, make sure you run it in the loop set to parallel. Max the return level and then start with the send level completely counter clock wise and then slowly bring up the send level until the pedal's input starts to distort. Set the send level slightly below that setting and you should be good to go.
Cheers

Thanks guys for the info, and mike I need to give it another shot, as I haven't tried it in quite a while. If I remember correctly when tried last, I tried everything and could never even get the delay to be noticeable. It was also very weak but I will give it another shot

I have one also in the parallel loops of my Diezels and it kills.

Would also highly recommend the Strymon Brigadier if you want to go for simplicity, or the Strymon El Capistan if you like tape delays.

You should have no problem getting pedals or racks to work in that loop. I have an old Ibanez DDL delay pedal that I pop in there. Works like a charm. Remember to max the output level on the pedal itself.
Cheers,
Mike
