Can someone simplify the EVH SDE3000 wdw setup?

There are a lot of jacks on the back of this thing and have several examples but want to make sure I have everything adjusted right, etc. I have the stereo setup down and sounds phenomenal. I'd be totally happy with that but want to see what this wdw setup can do.

Here is my setup:
1. EVH 5150-III 6l6 50 Stealth (main tone)
2. EVH 5150-III 6L6 50
3. Friedman PT20 V2

So the easy parts are output jack return to Amp 2 and other output jack to Amp 3

I have my effects loop hooked up to my Amp 1 Main Tone. That is the part I'm trying to get setup right and wondering where I would hookup my send and return to the EVH?

So, looking at what you have, and setting it up like my rig I'd have the Stealth hooked up to a cab, dry no fx. FX send from Stealth to a splitter, or ABY box (a stereo chorus works great) out to input 1 of the FX box(3000). Then send 1 of FX box to loop input of amp2, amp 2 out to a separate cab. Next, another cable from a splitter box (Chorus, tuner, ABY) to input 2 of FX box(3000). Send 2 of FX box to loop input of amp 3, amp3 out to a separate cab.
So, you'll need 3 cabs and a splitter box of some type(stereo outs on a pedal, mono input like an 80s stereo chorus or tuner) to set your rig up like mine with a dedicated dry cab. Running stereo you won't need any extra stuff, but WDW you might.
Good luck!

I forgot to mention, assign each in/out on the 3000 2 separate delay times; I have 380ms on one 3000 and 700 on the other side. Pretty close to what Ed used.

Thanks for the help man!! I think I just realized one thing I might have to adjust. My Stealth is the main Amp and I'm running the effects loop out of it and it should be just dry. The pedal has loop jacks so i can run my standard loop into the pedal instead of the amp.

I think it wasn't sounding "ideal" because I guarantee some of the effects meant for left and right amps were bleeding into the one that should be just dry.

Yep...by using the send on the Stealth that will send the preamp signal only to the first input of the 3000. If it has a dedicated line out, I'd use that instead...that way you get the whole amp tone including the power section. Sounds more 'full' that way. If you don't have a line out, you can buy a Bray Line out box for 50 bucks. Suhr makes one for 200 but it has a dedicated transformer. You want your main amp to just be the send of it's tone to the FX unit...so it should be a dry sound with a dedicated cab to it only.

I think im digging the stereo alone to just have that setup. Really easy to run with two of my amps.

Disregard, I figured it out. With wdw and the EVH pedal, "Send" goes to the input of my main amp AND can still use the effects loop. Sounds massive and I only have a Pignose connected to one of the outs for now. Once I have a bigger amp hooked up is going to sound sick.

I did the stereo set up Pete had drawn up on his video of the pedal.
BUT the 2nd amp is used like a power amp only...no other functions/channels are able to be used.( just the return on the amps f/x loop is used.)

Did I do something wrong?

Sounds like what I said, lol. I think stereo sounds as good, and is easier to deal with.

The problem with the 5153 50W sends is they are post-effects loop. They are basically right after the preamp, and loop, so you get the sound of the preamp and whatever you have in the loop. They dont have a line out that contains the poweramp tone.

No that is how mine is setup too and sounds amazing. I tried in the front of the amp at one point but the fx loop was better IMO. Much cleaner sounding.
