Can you boost an Ultra Lead for saturation?

Tried it, liked it, thought it was awesome but, I need more saturation.

Is this a thing? I had the GP/DI, and it responded well to a boost...hit up a buddy that uses EMGs and he said he never boosts it, that it is what it is.

Thoughts?

I like to boost almost everything.

I am a big fan of the D60/120. I also boost everything, just for a different flavor. But some amps just don't take boosts well...they seem congested with one. Any Cameron's, Wizard MTL 50 and the Deliverances were the only amps I've had that didn't like boosts. They were better au natural.

Hope that helps..no exp with the UL though.

Volumes cranked the UL will saturate a bit more but it is more of a dry type gain and will never on its own be an overly saturated amp like other amps out there. Plenty of gain and great sounds, just not a ton of saturation. It will either work for you or it won't.

What rockstar said is spot on. If you turn the master up to noon or so and channel volume to taste, the UL really comes alive.
