I can’t say it enough… The PT15 is by far the best guitar tone that I’ve ever had in my life. Absolutely amazing from clean to overdriven tones. I could literally play any gig with this amp. I might need an EQ pedal to change things around for something that’s super heavy, but I don’t play that music so it’s not a problem. I do use different overdrives for different shows with it. I found that the earthquake devices Plumes pedal is fantastic with it as a boost.

I play in a Bon Jovi/Journey tribute band and just using channel 2 can get me all of the tones I need. I just roll my guitar volume down to get cleaner tones and then a boost if I need to get something more saturated.

Seriously… The tone search ended the day I got this amp.

I recently picked up the IR version along with the matching 212. Great clean, great Modded Marshall high gain and red channel is a more modern version.

The but in reactive load, headphone out and IRs are great as it allows for silent practicing given the wife’s more remote worker job.

There’s a 50w version coming. Never played one but I’d love to try it out

Probably one of the best sounding all around amps I have ever played! Great clean, crunch, and lead sounds. One of the best dynamic ranges. I could use it for pretty much any genre with great results.

If and when I get back to plugging in and playing again.... this will be the amp I'll be getting. Holding onto my greenback loaded Suhr PT 212 for this exact reason. I most likely won't get IR version(no real need for me)... but this is a fantastic amp through and through. Glad you're loving it!

…but…can it chugg… small glass amps tend to underwhelm me, but I love the feature set with the built-in and IRS

This amp doesn't feel like a small glass amp. I usually have the same experience with el84 amps but this one feels like a big amp with the 6v6s. Felt every bit as big as the MT15 to me.
Yeah it was / is a killer amp for sure. Had it possessed any more oomph I would've kept it and been done, I was in a situation that needed big loud cleans and it just ran out of gas eventually in the context of drums / keys / loud drummer. I never ran it direct or made use of the IR's. I could see getting another one, if a 50 watt came around I would bite for sure, but it would need to be the small format which is one of the key attractions of this amp.

They're such great amps. I've had a few PT100's and loved them. I'm really interested in the new 50w coming out.

John Suhr is a super nice guy and his products are top shelf. Just a great company!

That said, they’ve been talking about a 50-watt version of the big PT for probably 10-years now. A 50-watt version of the PT15 would be better IMO. Let’s hope they do it.

Since I do gig, I would love a 50 W with the built-in eye capability.

I wonder if using something like a power station to bring up the volume and punch of the PT 15 IR would help?

John Suhr has said it’s coming out this year within the last month. Sounds like they’ll have a pretty cool feature set on it. The last thing I need is another big amp, but I’m sure it’ll be tempting.
