Can't get VH4 to work with MIDI

Hello,

I have a 2002 VH4S. I needed a tiny size MIDI solution to fit on my board so i'm trying a Disaster Area MIDI Baby. I only need to switch between channels 1 and 3 and in theory this tiny device can send 3 separate MIDI commands. I cannot get it to work whatsoever. I've read and tried everything in both manuals. Am i missing something or is this device just not compatible for some reason?

not 100% sure, but you want to reach is a simple switch between the two channels, so press the Midi Baby switching channels from 1 to 3 and back on next press...

I guess you need to configure it via Step through

would try the following:

#1 PC Channel Omni send single Value Value: 1 counter 1
#2 PC Channel Omni send single Value Value: 2 counter 1 (not sure what exactly the counter is doing....)

Hope this would do the following, each time you press you go down that list and repeat it, so first press will send a PC Message "1", second a PC Message "2", third press agin the PC Message "1" (but not sure how the midi device is built, sorry)

plug everything in, press the midi device once, select channel 1 on your VH4 and save the setting.
press midi device again, change setting of VH4 to Channel 3, save it...

hopefully that should do the trick
