I can wait, no gigs until whenever anyway. (I'm trying to bond with the TriAxis, it's not going well.)

I got a similar message from Customer service as well for my order. The main plant is closed but they are answering emails.

You are right though, it’s not like we can gig at this point!

Make sure you post it up when it is done!

I had a VF-1 many years ago. I have thought about picking one up again, or finding an old SE-70.

I have been into picking up older, cheap, effect rack units lately, lol.

That works!

I got an Intellifex pretty cheap a few months ago. And a G Major 2.

I still kinda want a Lexicon MPX-1, Boss SE-70, and possibly a VF-1, Alesis Quadraverb, and Yamaha SPX90. I don't know if I will ever buy them, but might, lol. Especially the first two.

The VF-1 is really great. Get it ! If I might suggest, I got an Intelliverb and and Intellipitch for peanuts some years ago. Both are great great sounding machines ! Together, they really make a poor man's Eventide. Sadly, my 25 years old MPX-1 went tits up some monthes ago and given the used prices, it's not worth getting it repaired. Will replace it some day because the reverbs are really awesome. Quadraverb is OK and SPX-90 is a studio staple. SE-70 is my other small rack, I love it :

Finished it last week !

Signal path is :

Guitar into Payne Labs K-Switch rehoused in half-rack case -> Digitech Freqout -> Way Huge Red Llama -> TC Electronic VPD-1 -> Soldano SLO100 input -> SLO loop send back to K-Switch -> Boss HR-2 -> Free The Tone PA-1QG programmable EQ -> CAJ Loop interface for parallel mixing -> Boss SE-70 -> Lexicon LXP-1 -> SLO loop return -> Thiele cab with EVM12L

On the ground : Peak FCB-4X midi controller and Dunlop DVP4 expression pedal.

All the pedals are midi controlled thru the loops/switches of the K-Switch. The MRC is used to tweak the LXP-1 reverb parameters. Lots of fun !

I picked up a Lexicon MPX-1 a year ago. It has some great sounds in it. I will say that it's more of a PITA to dial in than my Intellifex, but it definitely produces more interesting sounds. It does seem like the Lexicon gear is more sensitive (eg. tends to die) than a lot of the other older rack gear. Maybe it's just because the various PCM's are worth enough people actually repair them.

Anyhow, this is still a fun thread and I'm trying to get around to putting mine together. I went to load speakers into cabs Friday evening, and found I had no screws for mounting the speakers.....so off to the hardware store to buy a bag of screws....it's necessary, dammit! :)

Nice! I had a VF-1 way back when they were new, but that was so long ago. I have never been a huge effects user, but trying to make myself play with more lately. I think I would prefer a SE-70, but they seem to be MUCH harder to find these days. The VF-1s are so cheap now.

I'm not that hooked on effects either. i just play dry 90% of the time but it's nice to have the options. The VF-1 is very good at doing everything at least decently and some things really well. And it's cheap.
