Is it possible? I cant afford a bogner much anything. So is there such a disto box? That wampler pinnacle is pretty awesome and i can hear alot of brown in Jerry's tone.....help

Realistically? No. Are there good sounding distortion pedals out there? Yup, ya just gotta try some out and see what might work for what you're going for.

How about that GFS brownie pedal ? Cheap... boost it and you'll get thick and "brown" on a budget.

Get a brown sound going with a good Marshall type pedal and some greenbacks. That'll get the foundation. The GBs are a key factor, probably more so than the dirt box/amp.

if I was looking for a disto box on a clean channel to get a killer grindy sound, the Suhr Riot would be high on the list. Not really copping a Bogner, but I love how this thing sounds on Mark Day's demo thru his clean channel.

Mark is such an awesome player, but that Riot sounds thin and raspy, IMO

When he dials back the volume for "It's not love" it becomes even more thin and artificial. :scared:

A Barber Dirty Bomb will get you 85% to the JC sound, btw.

Check out the AMT pedals. They have one based off of a Bogner - gets some cool tones. The first ones were designed direct to power amp/aux input (may work better) and now have ones to go into the regular amp input

Cantrell tone in a box.......that would be a Friedman with a JBE mod.
