I NEED SOME ADVICE,I HAVE A CHOICE BETWEEN 2 CAPARISON GUITARS IVE NEVER PLAYED A CAPARISON, THE FIRST ONE IS A HORUS,IN OILED WALNUT WITH A ROSEWOOD NECK .THE SECOND BEING A DELLINGER HGS FX , I PLAY DROP TUNINGS AND 11-52 GUAGE STRINGS BOTH ARE THE SAME PRICE ,I DONT KNOW WHICH IS THE BETTER OF THE TWO ,IM CURIOUS AS TO WHAT OTHERS OPINIONS ARE

i should mention both are used ,and involve a trade with my engl,.

If you want a fixed bridge, get the Dellinger HFS FX. If you want a floyd, get the Horus. Which is better is completely subjective.

Neither one is better, they're just different. The Horus is short scale, has 27 frets and a Floyd. The Dellinger is 25.5" scale, has 24 frets and a fixed bridge. I like the Dellingers a bit more because I don't need 27 frets and I like having a neck humbucker and also the ebony board.

Yep, I have both (Walnut HGS and Dellinger) and I agree with the above. Another thing to consider is that the walnut is brighter and has more aggressive sounding mids than the mahogany bodied Dellinger. Either will be great at the drop tuning. I also find the Dellinger neck to be slightly thicker than the Horus neck.

You really can`t go wrong with either!

charvel ,jackson thicker or les paul custom style thicker

i have a charvel model 6 and the neck is great,is the caparison similiar to that ,

i also had a esp eclipse ll which i likedv the neck on but did not feel as nice as the charvel, just wish the charvel was a hair thinner ,but the profile was great

man I dont know how you could want a Charvel neck to be thinner. They feel so good!

As for the Dellinger which is the only one I have experience with. I thought it was comparable with an uber-nice soloist. Feelwise I mean.

what i mean by thinner is width, but the radius was great ,never played a SOLOIST,but there expensive for a reason, unlike gibson,
