Captor X High/Low Input level and clipping

Hi all,

Still fiddling around with the Captor X and just wanted to clarify the High/Low Input level button.

At this page it says:

6. Torpedo Live has a fully controllable input gain with a knob and an input bargraph to set the input level. Torpedo Captor X provide 2 level sensitivity through a -15dB pad (low sensitivity for high wattage amps or high sensitivity for amps below 50W).

I have a Victory Sheriff 22 (which is 28 watts), but if I have the input switch on High it clips and turns red as soon as I even breathe on the strings. I have to keep it on Low always. That’s fine, I’m just wondering if I’m doing something wrong as that article suggests that High should be ok?

Thanks!

I have a Countess, and I have to have the button "in"

So I'm using with a Fuchs Lucky 7 which is 5w (or 7w)

At low amp volumes it's ok with the High setting, but when I crank the amp I need to switch to the Low setting. I need to ride the output volume to retain silmilar output levels. Is this normal?
