Captor X USB Issues

Hi all, wondering if anyone has run into torpedo remote not seeing the captor x even after it is connected via usb? I've tried different cables on both mac and windows but on both it keeps saying "Please connect Torpedo to the computer". I'd love to use some othet IR's but this seems to be a roadblock. Thanks in advance for any advice!
 
Have you downloaded the Torpedo Remote software to the resident computer?
Is the device registered?

hi, yes i have the remote software installed, but my captor x is not registered. the two notes website says i have to plug in the captor to the usb to register it, but i can't register it since i can't connect to the usb.
 
So, cables are good
Ports on computer are good

Have you tied connecting to the unit via Bluetooth JUST to see if you can?? And if so - get it up and running and registered??

Might wanna start a work ticket if this leads to a possible fault with the USB port on the CaptorX - but there's always ways of making things not work when we least expect it.
