Car power adapters

seems i read on here a while back someone saying they carry a power adapter with them so they can test gear mobile... i guess running small wattage amps or whatever for testing guitars?

i've got a small POS Crate that i usually let folks plug into to test out a guitar I'm selling, if they don't have one of there own to bring... but i'm usually in a place where i can plug in. i'd like to be able to do that out my car, if possible.

what have you guys got going...

I used to do that with a Fender GDEC

I keep an inverter in the car with a POS no name SS amp. I also keep a little battery powered danelectro honeytone in case I need it. Works great. I have had them with me on CL deals over a decade.
