Carol Ann Triptik is a toneful Mutha. Well done Alan!

i don't like high gain in the traditional sense but i like to be able to shape the attack of notes and chords from smooth to edgy,
and i do love the touch sensitivity and sustain of higher gain levels. holdsworth describes exactly how i feel about gain in his interviews. like the benefits of gain in the legato sustain and bloomy sense without the fizzy compressed metal pigeon hole tone.

my 3 channel carol ann dream would be od2r clean with an independent sparkle/bright type switch just for the clean channel, a dirty channel that was hyper gtr volume knob sensitive for JTM clean into brownish crunch, with a footswitchable mid boost switch for a bit more of an ac30 pedal platform option if desired, and finally channel 3 doing the joe b./ej type elastic dynamic lead sound carol ann is famous for.

Thanks for nice comments guys. I truly appreciate it.

The Triptik 100W has just been sent for a review by Guitar Player magazine. I got a copy of the proof of the review and it's bloody great. The reviewer, David Hunter totally 'gets' the amp and what it's about.
It will be in the January 2013 issue I understand.

The review amp is actually heading to King guitars after the photo session. Prob in a couple of weeks.
