Carol Ann Triptik Power Tubes, Need suggestions

I have a 100w Triptik and I need to retube the power section as two of them red plated. I tried contacting Alan but have got no response from him. Does anybody know what comes in these stock or what have you had good luck with. I had a spare set of JJel34l's and didn;t like what it did to the tone of the amp. Made it really dark and lots of bass.

I have a 50 watt triptik. I think he uses ruby or shuguang el34bstr or the TAD version which is same
I think he's overloaded with questions so not answering everybody. I think just order these below and your good. Get a ma meter and set bias to whatever the remaining good tubes are at

thanks for the input guys, the amp came with some El34's that I have never seen before. Before I knew I had some noise issues and the two inside tubes began to redplate.

I wrote this down from reading CA threads a while back. Bias Triptik at 26-32 MA. Not sure if the same for 50 and 100 watters

Alan hand picks every tube for each amp, if you bought used who knows what a previous owner did to the bias and or tubes. That being said he uses whatever he feels are the best available at the time so it varies depending on when he built it. I actually have JJ's in mine but it was the first one built. I do know he speaks very highly of TAD so that would be my go to. Hope this helps ! Bias matters so just sticking in JJ's with no rebias may have been an issue.I also know Alan has been trying to let dealers respond to questions because he is swamped and wants to get amps to people. Me I would go TAD with a rebias. On the triptik do not be afraid to crank the pres, and mids !

Thanks for the information, I did renaissance when I put the JJ's in to 30mA. Think I might do a full retube with TAD

Plate voltage 485 so between 30-34 ma

Depends on the plate voltage, but typically around the 30 Mark is normal for most Triptiks.
