This amp sounds pretty cool. I'm kinda mad that i didn't even go into the Carol Ann room at the ampshow last week. Everytime i walked by there was a few guys in there. Too bad i didn't have DigiJams with me to tell them to fuck off and clear out.  I guess I'm glad i didn't play them since i don't have a spare 3k laying around.

They are great amps in person.
They are voiced in the same range as the Fuchs.
But I think the Fuchs does a better job all around in that price range.

They are basically a higher gain dumble. Those amps have great cleans and really great lead tones. I listened to a guy playing the Tucana and I was loving the tones.

If you want something like that for cheaper check out Phaez amps. Cliff at Destroy All Guitars carries them now after hearing two of mine. The guy is way under the radar and has a great ear.

I have owned

fuchs ODS 50 Watt
Fuchs ODS 100 Watt
Fuchs ODS 100 Watt HRM

I think fuchs amps are terrific sounding amps -- but they sound nothing like a Carol Ann.

Besides the Carol ann being a better all around sounding amp (IMHO) there are are couple of other things that make the amp even more attractive to me:

1) the execution of the EFX Loop on the Carol Ann I think is significantly superior to the Fuchs
2) Carol Ann amps are hand built PTP amps --- they do not use PCB like Fuchs does.
3) Independent EQ/Controls for clean and OD channels

In any event -- I always liked fuchs amps --- and they ruled my world for many years until I discovered amps like Bludotone and now the Carol Ann.

Here is a picture of my Carol Ann OD2 6L6 combo -- probably one of the best (maybe the best) sounding amp I have ever owned.
