Awesome build quality and I love the Zaza model.

Neil's Kiesels sound great. He sent me a picture today of his latest one that arrived today in time for his tour in Italy. Its a burled top and it looks sweet. The sustain on his guitars is amazing. I keep on threatening to order one. Its probably my next purchase.

Yeah I know. I watched a video of him playing an EBMM Axis on You Tube. I was never too into that shape but I loved it. I guess as I've gotten older.....

Thanks for all the comments guys - I'm tempted to order one of the new Jason Becker 'numbers' guitars, but for some strange reason, I also like the look of the Vader. The lack of trem is disappointing though... (geddit?!)

A friend of mine owned a DC400 premium. Very solid top of the line quality there. Extremely versitile instrument.
I bought one of their bolt on kits back in the day just to practice my assembling skills.
The guitar turned out to play, feel and sound just as good as their top $ models. Minus the finish of course.
Bottom line is, everything Carvin makes is the shit.

Had a DC125 in my possession for a few years in the early 90's. Great guitar, really low action with no fret buzz, felt great and inspired me to play. pinkish/purple = had to go.

I couldn't bond with mine but it was my fault. All maple neck on a neck through body guitar so the guitar ended up sounding like a slab of maple. as far as build quality it was top notch

Yeah, Had a few Carvin NTs and even a ESP NT. Just do not dig the tone of the NT!!!

I love my Carvin! Bought it used, so I'm can't comment on the order process. I would say they are as good as any production guitar I've played, and better than alot. I still have not found 1 PRS that I like as well as my Carvin.

Is it possible for you to talk about Carvin without mentioning PRS?

I've owned several and still own 4. Varied models and years. I love them all and like has been said, they compare with the best in construction, fit and finish and playability. Cost wise, they are more than competitive.
