I think you were smart to request slightly heavier Mahogany .

Can't be sure of course but I think neck throughs especially don't have as much bottom end if they are not a little
heavier, so more weight is a good thing for deeper tones IMO, especially on this type.

Congrats, you didn't mention Sustain, because it's probably excellent, but you are used to It by now...

for sure, i haven't had a chance to weigh it yet , but this one has really great sustain, bottom end seems really good to. I have to say the stock pickups sound great, not as tight as I like but really comparable to anything else out there that is good quality.
