Greetings... :)
What's the consensus on the Carvin TS100 power amp? Thoughts? Opinions? First-hand experience?

It seems decent on paper:
Two Channel - 50W Each
(4) 12AX7, (4) 6L6
Internal Bias switches to run EL34 or 6L6/5881
It also looks like it is built well and the price is certainly right - $550 + $25 shipping...

What say you?

Am I wrong, or is that one of the few tuber power amps that can be bridged?

A buddy had the equivalent of this in the 90s. Sounded good.

According to the web site, it can be run at 50W/channel in stereo or bridged mono at 100W...

Yes it can be bridged, but you need to halve the ohmage written on the outs.
Quite clean poweramp, breaking up only on really high volumes. It does what a poweramp should do, amplifying the signal without major coloration. I got it used for 250$.
If you want a coloring poweramp, it's not for you.
I run mine with KT77s and quite diggin it, although I mainly use my ART SLA 2 since I got it.

I picked up a Carvin T100 off the bay for $250.00 and it sounds more alive and you can compress the tones more at higher volumes than the TS100 model.
The EL34's sound so much smoother and natural than the stock 6L6 tubes Carvin ships with now. :D
I found that both models are nice power amps and i think they sound as good as the Mesa 50/50 power amps. Of course it's all opinions though.

I appreciate the input - opinions of people who use them or have experience with them is what I'm looking for.
