This thing is awesome. Best Vibe I got so far. It has a "Cancel" function that recreates how the original Univibes were, in other words the guitar was always going thru the unit even when the footcontroller was in the off (cancel) position. So you can have true bypass to maintain your tone or Cancel, which smooths out the highs but gives it that vintage vibe.

Sounds Great Carl!!! Is it a big pedal? When you say best Vibe so far, do you mean what you have now or Best VIbe that youve ever played

Kage

That sounds awesome. So is a Uni-vibe like a cross between a Wah and phaser ?

Would love to hear some of the slower Throbbier settings...

Not big. Smaller than the Sweetsound Ultra 2, larger than the Mojo Vibe. I think this is the best one I've played. The others are real good, sound great, but this thing has this thing I only hear in the best ones, the original Univibe and the KR Mega Vibe. IMO this is better than the Mega vibe for hendrix/ Trower.
Stuart Castledine cloned the early '69 Split-rubber (footcontroller) version, which is what Hendrix used.

This vid is just whacking around. I wanna do a vid with cleaner guitar showing the sound and different settings.
Had to get a Dunlop 18v adaptor for it. Was worth the 3 month wait

The effect, though often associated with chorus, is in fact created through a staggered series of phasing filters, unlike the usually aligned filters of a normal phasing effect. Unlike most other phaser pedals, this is achieved without the use of op-amps.

I think someone told me that a UniVIbe was a "Non Linear Phaser" I dont know jack about electronics and the guy seemed fairly knowledgable..

Thanks, I do know that one. Next vid will be thru the YJM w/ my Trower or Hendrix Strat for authenticness

Thru the YJM-100.
'97 Hendrix Strat > Maxon 808 > Supra-Vibe > amp
Throb on the Vibe about 2:00

Thas sounds great too, do you always use the Vibe post distortion?

The Vibe after the distortion seems to work "if", there is some gain on the amp.....the drive pedal has the level high. I had the 808 both knobs dimed. Doing it this way you get some swoosh like the BOG stuff. Would have sounded as cool if the 808 was after the Vibe
This is just the amp and the Vibe. No od pedal

I feel bad for the guys that will not try out the YJM due to Yngwie being involved, man that is just a cool amp and yeah the vibe sounds awesome.

Thanks for the signal chain lesson.

Their loss! That's the amp into top left input, Volume on 10, with a Hendrix Strat. Without that Power Reduction thing in the back the sheetrock would have cracked from the volume

Again, killer sounding. You should try an EVH5150 50w and do a vid :D

I liked both of those... In your opinion, do you think the vids are an accurate reproduction of what you hear in the room?
