CCV Clip: New and (hopefully) improved. Calling jcj!!!!!

SOOO, after the other thread/clip viewtopic.php?f=3&t=116883&p=1365216#p1365216
I took the feedback/advice and tried the clip again. JCJ!!! I told you the volume in the first clip was moderate. WRONG. I had the master at 9 o'clock. The new clip is at noon. Also, more mids, less gain, low pass @ 5800khz I think it sounds better. Waddayallthink?

Sounds good and a question for you since I don't know the slightest about Cameron amps except what I read here...Is this clip here using the diode clipping and how much gain is available without it.

Yes, the first diode clipping setting is being used here. I haven't used the non diode setting enough (maybe any) to give a great answer about it. Can't check right now.

I know jack shit about the CCVs but I will say this is one of the more impressive clips I've heard from the Cameron Camp. Maybe they're just not for me, but overall, this one sounded like something I could get along with.

Pfffffttt....the only thing I'm an expert on is what I personally like, and even that's highly suspect

I have owned and played quite a few CCVs, and do know what I want to hear in a particular amp (as it pertains to my style and ears).

Definitely want to check out the new clip when I'm not surfing from my phone

On the new ones, I totally agree; there's much more gain in every position. I have my new one set up as you're describing; the old one lives on that first clipping position, and sounds absolutely unreal (to me)

Made it to a laptop, so that's what I'm listening on....keep that in mind....

I'm just not hearing the punch I'm used to on those opening chords and that walk up you're doing...probably just the way you like to set your amp, that thing is capable of a ton of very different sounds.... also seems like you have the amp set a bit darker and smoother than I do, and with a bit more gain. I like it to bite a bit more

Out of curiosity, what are your settings (switches, eq, and gains)?....if you don't mind sharing
