So is the new run of CCV kaput, did Brad and Co pull the plug? It would be interesting to see if they could have raised the bar on an already great amp.

I have to assume they have not pulled the plug, given they still owe 2nd run CCVs to a few guys.
It would be nice to have an "official update" though, as the prototype was last rumoured to be making noise back in May.
I also recall there was mention of it being showcased at the L.A. Amp Show in October this year. Is that happening?
Where is the amp in terms of readiness for market?

Still coming out, only a handful of guys still on our list. Designs will still be made, might be rebranded though.
