Ok for those who have these or have tried them how are they really for hard rock , 80's metal , shred etc.?

I was thinking about getting 2 to blend in a x pattern with 2 V 30's for something different, but at 300 bucks a speaker I am wondering how much better these are than say a Celestion Creamback 75 as I have a combo with that in a 4x12 with the V 30's and it sounds glorious so wondering if the Alnico creams are even worth considering ?

Are they really night and day better in person as the clips do sound good.

I love mine... I have two, one in my ISP Theta Combo (the other speaker is a sub-woofer - crossover to send lows to the sub, mids and highs to the 'regular' speaker) and one in the ISP Vector 2x12 (the combo without the preamp). It sound INCREDIBLE to me. My favorite speaker until I tried the Alnico Creams was the Creamback 65... the Alnico sounded so much more rich and detailed to my ears. I wish I could make a proper clip for you, but I dropped that money on the first one and haven't regretted it a moment since.

For reference, hate the G12T-75's, didn't care at all for the V30's (but to be fair, I could hear why folks liked them a lot). I did have a cab with the 25 watt Greenbacks that I enjoyed, but always wished they had a touch more low end.

Hope that helps!

They sound good but too dark and smooth for the sound I go for. They are polite sounding speakers which might be a good thing depending on what you are looking for.

I didn't like them and agree with Chris above. Too soft, smooth and polite. Not for my style..hard rock/metal. I had them mixed with v30s too and H75s. Ultimately pulled them out and sold them. Much happier with V30/H75 and v30/Redback.

Good info. and maybe I guess will pass on the Alnico creams as the V 30/ Creamback 75's are damn near a perfect combination in a 4x12.

I had a pair of 8 ohm Alnico Creams in a Thiele ported closed back 2x12. They were super stiff out of the box, but broke in very nicely. Very smooth, round tone. Would be killer for clean tones. I ended up selling them and I loaded that cab with a 65 watt Creamback M and a Mesa / UK vintage 30. Great pair. The H 75 watt Creamback would likely pair really with with the GT-75.
