Anyone ever hear one ? I have mad GAS for a bone stock 2204. I'm afraid to take a chance on a real one, in the event that it isn't in the greatest shape.

Hoping someone can give me some info on the Ceriatone clone

I got a 1987 clone from Ceriatone and it's my # 1 amp. I wouldn't hesitate ever buying a Ceriatone.

I recently bought a used Ceriatone 2204, but it was built as a kit, not by Nik. While the work isn't as pretty and dressed as Nik's work, it sounds great! I also owned a Ceriatone 50W Chupacabra that Nik built, it was AWESOME and I stupidly sold it and tried to buy it back before "settling" for the 2204. IMHO, the Ceriatone 2204 hand-wired is the best value by far in a 2204...

Can't go wrong with one really, the handwired board always makes maintenance and experimenting with mods easy. But other then that you can pick up an original jmp 2204 from the 70's for same price or less and an original will hold its value better on resale usually.

I was counting on this...I looked for a JMP 2204 for over a month, and couldn't find a suitable unmodded one for less than $900 (even more to have one shipped)...got my Ceriatone for $750...

Ceriatone is quality stuff. I owned at ODS100 and loved it. Definitely recommend their stuff

I had a Ceriatone 2204 and it sounded great. I gigged with it for about a year before I sold it. Great sounding amp and did exactly what it was supposed to do.
