I have one of these on order, Should be here in a few weeks. Anyways was just wondering If anyone else from the forum also ordered one. I was able to order before the info posted on the website and there was already 15 ahead of me.

What inspired me to take the plunge is the used Yeti 100watt I snagged on ebay about a month ago, UPS had destroyed the headshell so I sent the amp back for a refund from the seller. Anyways the nice part about it was I at least got to try the Yeti . The Kink Kong is said to be a Yeti/Chupacabra type amp with a dedicated clean channel and switching options.
So the Yeti was actually awesome, I liked it a lot ! I wouldn't hesitate to put it up against other Boutique moded marshal type amps out there that cost more than twice the price. If the Kink Kong is just as good then we have a reasonably priced High Gain Plexi style amp. The Yeti I had did everything very very well.... Cleans, slight brake up, 60s 70s raunchy brake up in your face mid gain plexi tones, it also did 80s and modern metal very well. No slouch in any department. Only "setback" with the Yeti has no foot-switchable options for live use.

Kink Kong might be ferocious ! !

lol .... Im gonna leave that for shitz and giggles..Kinky Kong works too haha

I am on the 50W list. I was in the first 10 or so orders. Should ship late next week or early the following. Nik is a little behind on these due to some final tweaks before release. I'm pumped. If it'll do slight breakup Plexi on channel 1 and full on modded Marshall on channel 2, it'll end my amp search with the feature set.

OK man...

Whats the status update on the Hairiabone King Schlong???

Nik's factory was on holiday shut down last week (entire country apparently). He told me they are finishing up the first batch this coming week and shipping. So, people 'should' start getting theirs late this week eat next week if all goes well.

Looks pretty shnazzy

Another CCV rip off design? The control layout looks familiar.

Yeah, Mark got it from Bogner.

And another CCV rip off? Was there a first one I missed somewhere?

So my King Kong landed ! I like it a lot. I should really put a NAD thread up but for now I will say :

They hit a home run with this amp especially at the price point. It kinda has a mix of British and American qualities but leans a little more to the marshall side of things. It has a certain smoothness to the mids that reminds me of an american amp. Great clarity while retaining character , its a fun amp to play. Tight and modern sounding and feeling while still being smooth. Has great attack on the lowend. Great for me since I play mostly modern rock\metal.

Ive played a CCV a couple times it was a while ago though ... I dont think this amp is suppose be a direct clone , its probably based on that sort of thing though, I do remember some similarities in the feel and voicing of this amp.
