I have one of these on order, Should be here in a few weeks. Anyways was just wondering If anyone else from the forum also ordered one. I was able to order before the info posted on the website and there was already 15 ahead of me.
What inspired me to take the plunge is the used Yeti 100watt I snagged on ebay about a month ago, UPS had destroyed the headshell so I sent the amp back for a refund from the seller. Anyways the nice part about it was I at least got to try the Yeti . The Kink Kong is said to be a Yeti/Chupacabra type amp with a dedicated clean channel and switching options.
So the Yeti was actually awesome, I liked it a lot ! I wouldn't hesitate to put it up against other Boutique moded marshal type amps out there that cost more than twice the price. If the Kink Kong is just as good then we have a reasonably priced High Gain Plexi style amp. The Yeti I had did everything very very well.... Cleans, slight brake up, 60s 70s raunchy brake up in your face mid gain plexi tones, it also did 80s and modern metal very well. No slouch in any department. Only "setback" with the Yeti has no foot-switchable options for live use.
Kink Kong might be ferocious ! !
