What exactly is the issue with the loops? How does Nick sell that many amps if no effects sound good with them?

The Chupacabra I had... it's loop sounded ok. Nothing too bad about it. But they are just insert loops, not buffered by a tube or anything. I only run a single delay pedal in my rig so I didn't have any issues. But a lot of people complain about the loop for some reason.

I gotta say guys, I have a Wizard now, and I LOVE it, but I plugged into the King Kong this morning after taking some pictures of it, and it's definitely on par. A little different obviously, but damn it sounds awesome. Once word gets out about this amp, at this price point and feature set, it's going to give the other modded Marshall amps at over double the cost a serious run for their money. Like I said, I love the Wizard, but if I hadn't already purchased the Wizard and had just the King Kong, I don't think I'd even be considering another amp. However, I do have the Wizard, so.... LOL! Seriously, if you get a chance to check this amp out, do it. It'll do whatever you want it to, more or less.

I liked the cosmetics and I liked the sound but for some reason (compression? low output pickups? Player?) the guitars sound pretty similar despite the relative low gain settings.

None of my guitars sound the same through the amp. Similar to the response I had with my Fargen in that every guitar has its own character shining through FWIW.

boy he nailed the Malmsteen riffs!
Loudness sounds good all the time!
